I googled ‘metadata amalgamators’ and results were mostly poor, irrelevant, mixed. Strange considering how important and influential the practice is. Found your page on second or third page of search results .. very much in like with my thinking. You haven’t mentioned Thaler’s book ‘Nudge’, or the work of Dave Snowden, the field of behavioural economics or the phrase ‘choice architecture’. I call it social engineering – the wikipedia page for which is undeveloped. There is a good vpro documentary on youtube “The real value of your personal data” in which a speaker describes google as a ‘behavioral option management system’. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dW7k_GZYLwk&t=2242s
