\t\t\t\tIn my previous life as a change control manager, I used version management (SCC) software, DIFFs and performed code reviews daily. When I was forciably retired I needed a DIFF engine for my personal use, maintaining a web site, and keeping the home network in good order, I shopped around and finally bought BEYOND COMPARE by Scooter Software out of Madison Wisconsin. It’s been in the toolbox since and it, along with “Agent Ransack”, are two tools that I use almost daily. <\/p>\n
If I wish to manage my backups or check for duplicates, these two tools work very well. If I wish to make a change to my websites, B.C. does a great job of both managing versions and ftp’ing the changes to the remote site. <\/p>\n
