SAN RAFAEL\u2014 Police in Marin County say a man panhandling for money to put gas in a Ferrari was arrested for stealing the luxury car.<\/p>\n
The Mercury News reports (http:\/\/bayareane.ws\/2s8Dx7r) 36-year-old Rocky Jimenez was booked into Marin County jail on vehicle theft, burglary and drug possession charges.<\/p>\n
San Rafael Police Sgt. Lisa Holton says Jimenez was arrested Sunday after police received reports of a suspicious man who asked a witness for gas money and was then seen pouring the fuel on a Ferrari.<\/p>\n
Holton says officers searched Jimenez’s backpack and found the key to the Ferrari, a 2016 488 GTB but no ownership documents. A Ferrari representative confirmed that the vehicle had been stolen from the service center in San Rafael.<\/p>\n
She says Jimenez also had a key to a second Ferrari that had not been stolen.<\/p>\n
