Ernest Camin had on exhibition in his store this week, a quantity of live fresh water snails raised on the old Camin ranch in Cathey’s Valley. The “seed” was planted in a spring on the ranch by Mr. Camin’s father who brought them from France a number of years ago. These snails,as food, are considered quite a delicacy by the French people and as they seem to thrive in this climate quite an industry in “snail farming” might be built up.<\/p>\n
