\ncolored Odd Fellows’ hall on C street for the purpose
\nof reorganizing the Afro-American council and trans-
\nacting other business in connection with the present and
\nfuture campaigns.
\nThe call was Issued by Rev. J. Gordon McPherson,
\npastor of Mt. Olivet Baptist church, who has been
\nstumping the San Joaquin valley for the Republican
\nticket, and who left today to hold series of meetings in
\nButte county and north to Redding. He says the colored
\npeople are enthusiastically for Gillett and the whole
