Must See the Race. \u2014 The Legislature, not
\nmuch to its credit certainly, adjourned yesterday,
\nnot far from 12 o’clock, for the sole purpose of
\npermitting the majority to attend at the Race
\nCourse, and witness the race. As per resolution,
\nthat body has but three more days in which to
\nclear away the mass of business now lying on the
\ntables of the two Houses; a considerable portion
\nof this important business could have been dis-
\nposed of yesterday, had the Legislature continued
\nits session, as it ought to have done. Such moves
\non the part of a reform Legislature will sound
\nvery unpleasantly in the ears of the people in the
\nnext State campaign. When will public men in
\nthis State learn wisdom ?<\/p>\n
