DAN CUPID WINS AFTER STERN RACE
\nJack Murry Returns From Unavailing
\nSearch for Daughter and Her Husband<\/p>\n
Jack Murray of Lytton returned Saturday, after an unavailing chase of several hundred miles in pursuit of his daughter and her husband. Murray is an experienced tracker and scout but this, perhaps, is the the first time he has tried to outwit Dan Cupid.
\nThe result is, Cupid wins and Murray returns, a wiser, if not madder man than when he took the trail of the elopers Thursday morning. The chase began at a livery stable in Geyserville, and ended in the “wilds\u2019\u2019 of San Francisco, where Murray lost the trail completely.
\nHe invoked the aid of the police of the metropolis, but without success. Hilda May Murry, now Mrs. Ray Genther, is not yet sixteen years old. She was attending high school in Geyserville when she met Genther.
\nThe consent of the parents was not asked. Murray said today he would not have withheld his consent if it bad been asked, as Genther bears a good reputation for industry and sobriety.
\nThe young couple took the morning train from Geyserville Wednesday, procured a license in San Rafael, and were married there that afternoon by Rev. White. After the ceremony they proceeded to San Francisco.
